In today's fast-paced digital economy, managing shared expenses efficiently remains a common challenge among individuals, especially in social and group settings. Splitly is a proposed mobile application designed to simplify and automate the process of bill splitting through intelligent features and seamless financial integration. The app allows users to scan receipts, which are then automatically categorized and sorted for easy tracking. It maintains a visited history for quick access to past transactions and offers smart suggestions based on user preferences, such as the cheapest or nearest options. Users can set personal budgets and use the app for a wide range of expenses, including food, fuel, tickets, and more. A key innovation of Splitly is its ability to connect directly with the user's chosen bank, enabling secure and seamless payments without the need to open a separate banking app. Additionally, it securely stores credit/debit card details and account numbers to streamline future transactions. This research aims to explore the feasibility, design, and user impact of Splitly, with a focus on enhancing financial transparency, convenience, and collaboration in shared spending scenarios.
