Floods are natural disasters that cause significant destruction and disruption each year. Identifying and evaluating flood-prone areas is essential for efficient prevention and mitigation. Nonetheless, issues occurred during the model development regarding determining the inundation area based on the parameters selected in the analytic hierarchical process (AHP) model employed for flood susceptibility mapping. This study accelerates the process of the computation of weights in pairwise comparisons for the establishment of the GIS flood model. The pairwise computation was evaluated using Excel and Python methodologies. Two flood susceptibility maps were produced via weighted overlay in ArcGIS Pro and a Python-based algorithm. Validation with historical flood marks demonstrated significant concordance with the Python-based model.
