Pomelo (Citrus grandis) leaves, a frequently disregarded botanical resource, contain an abundance of bioactive compounds and possess potent antioxidant properties, making them a promising ingredient for next-generation personal care formulations. This study introduces an eco-friendly, antioxidant-infused bath bomb developed using pomelo leaf extract, designed to redefine conventional bathing experiences dominated by synthetic ingredients. By harnessing the natural power of plant-derived antioxidants, the product aims to deliver a rejuvenating, skin-soothing, and uplifting sensory wellness experience. Notably, the incorporation of pomelo leaf extract differentiates this bath bomb from conventional formulations by combining natural antioxidant functionality with the valorisation of agricultural by-products. Methanolic extraction was employed to obtain the pomelo leaf extract, which was subsequently incorporated into the bath bomb formulation. Antioxidant activity was evaluated using the DPPH free radical scavenging assay and demonstrated notable radical inhibition. During product testing, the bath bomb was observed to produce vigorous effervescence, a refreshing citrus aroma, and a smooth skin feel. This innovation highlights the potential of agricultural waste valorisation and demonstrates the development of sustainable, value-added wellness solutions using locally sourced natural materials.
