STV285: MOTORISED DRYING RACK

This project introduces an innovative Motorised Drying Rack system designed to automate the drying process by responding intelligently to weather conditions. The system intends to provide a convenient, efficient, and weather-resistant solution for drying clothes, addressing frequent issues encountered during unpredictable weather. The key features of this Motorised Drying Rack include weather-responsive technology, powered by sensors that detect rain, humidity, and wind, ensuring immediate retraction to protect clothes during adverse conditions. A quiet 12V DC motor, controlled by an Arduino microcontroller and an L298 motor driver, allows for seamless extension and retraction. The rack also includes Wi-Fi connectivity for smart apps, allowing users to monitor and control it remotely. Additionally, the product is energy-efficient, utilizing solar panels and rechargeable batteries to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. This system offers a practical solution altered to Malaysia’s climate, reducing the need for constant weather monitoring and manual intervention. It is designed for practicality, reliability, and ease of use, making it ideal for residential and commercial use. By combining cost-effective hardware with efficient programming, the Motorised Drying Rack not only improves daily routines but also emphasises automation and smart living for weather-conscious users.
