Thirsty Flowers A Colorful Journey Inside Stems is a simple science project that explores how water moves through plants. Using white flowers placed in cups of colored water mixed with different substances. This experiment demonstrates capillary action inside plant stems. Observations over 24 to 48 hours showed that flowers in clean water absorbed color well and remained healthy, while flowers in sugar, salt and vinegar water showed slower absorption and signs of wilting. The results highlight the importance of clean water for plant growth and health. This project helps students understand plant structure, water transport and environmental responsibility in an engaging way.
