Cranes are widely used in construction, industrial, logistics, and port operations due to their ability to lift and transport heavy loads efficiently. However, they heavily rely on grid electricity and waste energy during load-lowering. This innovation introduces a hybrid energy-assisted crane system integrating solar photovoltaic generation and gravity-based energy recovery. Grid electricity, batteries, and solar panels provide lifting power, while the hoist motor converts gravitational potential energy into electricity stored in supercapacitors and batteries. This system reduces electricity consumption, lowers operational costs, improves energy efficiency, and decreases environmental impact, offering a sustainable and innovative solution.
