HYDRO3 is a solar-powered liquid-tree bioreactor designed to convert carbon dioxide into oxygen using Nannochloropsismicroalgae and a low-cost yeast–sugar CO2 diffuser. The complete working prototype integrates recycled materials, solar energy, and continuous aeration for efficient algal growth. Its novel fermentation-based CO2 delivery eliminates the need for compressed gas, reducing cost and risk. With a total cost under RM 136, HYDRO3 is commercially scalable for schools and communities. Academically, it supports hands-on STEM research. Its modular design and educational video demonstration enhance replicability. HYDRO3 promotes environmental awareness, improves air quality, and contributes to national climate resilience.
