Constipation is a prevalent issue among children, primarily due to insufficient dietary fiber intake, leading to significant discomfort and health complications. Traditional interventions to increase fiber intake, such as whole foods and supplements, often face challenges in adherence among young children. This innovation proposes an innovative solution: SPC Blissful Bite. SPC Blissful Bite is an invention combining psyllium husk with Malaysian ice cream. It can create a nutritious and exotic dessert experience. Adding psyllium husk to traditional Malaysian ice cream recipes can enhance the fiber content and potential health benefits treat's. This fusion of flavors could balance indulgence and wellness, providing a delicious way to enjoy Malaysian ice cream with a healthy twist. The main objective of this innovation is to develop and evaluate SPC Blissful Bite as an innovative dietary intervention designed to alleviate constipation among children. The phase-gate model was used to develop the SPC Blissful Bite. Implementation involves a pilot study where children consume the SPC Blissful Bite, and evaluation assesses the product's effectiveness and acceptance through questionnaires. The results indicate that SPC Blissful Bite is a significant invention, improving average bowel movement 6 times per week and the overall acceptability rating of 4.8 reflects a positive acceptance among consumers to consume SPC Blissful Bite. This invention is an innovative approach to address pediatric constipation effectively in an enjoyable manner. This invention is in line with The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
