AirVista is a head-mounted heads-up interface that projects a smartphone’s display into the user’s forward field of view, reducing posture strain and attention loss caused by downward screen use. Using a compact micro-display and optical beam combiner, it presents a semi-transparent interface that preserves environmental awareness. Interaction is enabled via a discreet handheld control hub that maps wrist motion and touch gestures to standard smartphone inputs without operating system modification. By decoupling mobile interaction from sustained neck flexion, AirVista supports safer, more ergonomic mobile use. The innovation aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
