In today's digital age, poor posture has become a widespread concern, leading to discomfort, pain, and long-term musculoskeletal issues. To address this problem, this project focuses on developing a posture monitoring device that empowers individuals to improve their posture and reduce associated health risks. The system includes a wearable device equipped with flex band pressure sensors and Arduino Uno microcontrollers, enabling the detection of poor posture and providing immediate haptic feedback through vibrations for correction. Moreover, it features a time limit function with audible alerts such as a buzzer to prompt breaks after the maximum usage time. Additionally, the project encompasses the development of a web-based IoT platform, delivering insightful metrics such as the duration of device usage, posture check reminders, and posture angles. The expected outcomes include increased awareness of posture habits among users, reduction in instances of poor posture, decrease in discomfort and pain associated with prolonged sitting, and improved overall well-being and musculoskeletal health. Through this innovative approach, we seek to promote ergonomic principles and foster long-term improvements in posture and overall well-being.
