STV500: FULLY AUTOMATED SOLAR GRASS CUTTER

MAIZATUL NURUL BARIAH AHMAD UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA PERLIS

This project aims to develop a solar-powered automated grass cutter prototype to reduce human involvement in lawn maintenance. The main issue is the need for a grass cutter that operates autonomously using renewable energy, aligning with objectives to reduce carbon footprint. The system uses an Arduino microcontroller and ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles and control movement. Testing demonstrated effective cutting in small areas, achieving faster times compared to traditional methods. These findings suggest a promising approach to eco-friendly automation, though cutting efficiency could be improved. In conclusion, this system offers a sustainable solution with potential for future optimization, recommending its use for energy cost reduction in landscape maintenance.
