This project also brings about the idea of the Lab Inventory Borrowing System using RFID technology that will help the borrowing and return of laboratory equipment. This is because the current system, which is manually handled, encounters several challenges, including loss of equipment, slow update, and recording of inventory data. The use of RFID tags and readers will help the system detect when the inventory is borrowed and returned, and immediately update the database. Additionally, the system will allow users to inquire about the availability of the inventory, the user, and the date for return. This project will hence reduce the loss of equipment, enhance inventory management, and expedite the laboratory management process.
