ST558: Development Of IoT-enabled Water Wheel Energy Conversion System

NASZRAN HAKIIM BIN MOHD SYUHAIREE Faculty Of Electrical Engineering & Technology

This project develops a low-cost, small-scale micro-hydro system integrated with IoT for rural, off-grid applications. To address the complexity and lack of monitoring in existing systems, a water wheel prototype was designed using a DC generator, ESP32 microcontroller, and B25/ACS712 sensors. Real-time data is transmitted via Wi-Fi to a Blynk mobile dashboard for remote performance visualization. Experimental results confirm the system successfully powers low-load devices like LEDs and USB chargers. By combining renewable energy conversion with smart monitoring, this project offers a sustainable, user-friendly, and costeffective energy solution for remote communities.
