The SSTravel (Systematic, Smooth Travel) system is designed to address the evolving needs of the tourism industry by providing a comprehensive and integrated platform for managing travel-related activities. As the tourism sector continues to grow, managing travel itineraries, costing, quotations, and resources remains a challenging task, particularly for students in tourism management programs, homestay operators, and travel agents who often lack access to efficient tools. Tourism students require practical tools that align with industry standards to enhance their learning and future employability (Kallou & Kikilia, 2021) related to the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education). The Shifts 4: Quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Graduates will be a premier higher education TVET provider that develops skilled talent to meet the growing and changing demands of industry and promotes individual opportunities for career development. Similarly, homestay operators and small travel agencies need streamlined systems to improve their operations, increase efficiency, and provide quality service to travelers (Ruiz-Meza et al., 2021). These travel-related systems often come with associated expenses and require annual license renewals, which can be a burden for smaller operators. The potential of digital technologies and personalized recommendations to address these challenges in the tourism industry (Erbil & Wörndl, 2022). However, there is a need for an integrated platform that simplifies travel planning processes, reduces manual work, and ensures seamless integration of essential travel resources (Saito et al., 2023). The SSTravel system aims to fill this gap by offering an innovative solution that empowers target users to optimize their workflows, improve decision-making, and deliver exceptional travel experiences while also providing a cost-effective and user-friendly system with as tramlined license renewal process.
