The Lexiquest Board innovation supports lexical fluency and behavioral engagement among Level 2 primary Malaysian ESL pupils facing limited vocabulary, fear of errors, and limited interactive practice that stemmed from regular rote-learning. The board game uses two-versus-two competitive role-play challenges grounded in Communicative Language Teaching principles as pupils interact through structured scenarios that encourage long turn-taking and functional language use. Findings from classroom implementation indicate quicker lexical retrieval, wider topic-appropriate vocabulary use, and increased engagement driven by tactile materials, scoring mechanics, and peer scaffolding. Additionally, the game board promotes active participation while reducing teacher dependence.
