FootSense is a wearable rehabilitation and support system that aims to improve walking and stability. It is designed for patients recovering from leg injuries or with Parkinson's disease. The system includes a sensor-embedded shoe and calf-level haptic guidance. Pressure sensors detect uneven weight distribution, and IMUs tracks tilt and leg movement. When it detects abnormal imbalance, vibration motors offer real-time feedback, helping the user maintain proper posture and steps. Using neuromuscular feedback loops, FootSense encourages independent walking during rehabilitation and provides ongoing support for managing tremors. The system is adjustable and works with Arduino, showcasing a practical and scalable solution.
