This work focuses on the design and development of a three-dimensional (3D) printed furniture joint that is versatile and applicable across various furniture designs and styles, addressing the inherent limitations of traditional furniture joints. The optimized furniture joint, manufactured using 3D printing technology, demonstrated excellent compatibility and fit with furniture components such as tabletops and legs. The integration of 3D printing and topology optimization offers reduced material waste, shorter production times, and a more environmentally sustainable approach to furniture manufacturing.
