The Smart Extension Plug (SMEP) is an IoT-based device designed to tackle inefficient electricity consumption in college dormitories. Developed using the Agile model, SMEP integrates the Blynk application for remote control, real-time voltage monitoring, and automated timers. Comparison with existing prototypes ensured enhanced efficiency. Quantitative evaluation from 36 respondents revealed a 72% improvement in energy management and increased user safety. Beyond reducing waste, SMEP fosters sustainable energy habits among students. Its success demonstrates significant potential for expansion to domestic households, supporting national smart energy goals through innovative IoT integration.
