The application of new tools in education has become a necessary condition for promoting student engagement and the attainment of learning outcomes in the modern classroom. The Rich Board is a trial of an experimental intervention--magnetic interactive learning tools intended to engage learning through visual and kinesthetic interaction via movable letters, numbers, symbols and pictures. The Rich Board will permit direct physical interaction for students with their learning tool for comprehension and retention purposes. It is a mixed-methods study combining classroom observations, teacher interviews and student surveys to assess the impact of the tool on engagement, understanding, and participation in primary school environments. The results indicate that the Rich board influences the students in many ways: heightened involvement, visualization of difficult concepts, and better overall learning outcomes. Teachers reported increased organization and structure of lessons in the classroom while students said they could receive more interest in it and also achieved higher satisfaction levels. The paper highlights the Rich Board as a potentially influential educational resource and encourages its use to bolster active learning, emotional growth, and collaborative practices in education. Future research suggestions and wider implementation consideration are discussed as well.
