Taman Tasik Taiping, Perak is a significant urban recreational park with ecological and heritage value. Rising visitor numbers from locals, families, and tourists have increased pressure on the park’s environment, facilities, and management, causing overcrowding, environmental degradation, safety risks, and inconsistent maintenance. This study applies the Recreation Opportunity Spectrum (ROS) and Issues, Concerns, and Opportunities (ICO) frameworks, alongside Limit of Acceptable Change (LAC) analysis, using mixed methods including observation, interviews, and secondary data. Findings reveal that visitor numbers often exceed the park’s Effective Carrying Capacity, while fragmented governance and underutilized heritage highlight management challenges.
