Banana peels, often thrown away as waste, are abundant in nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants, making them an excellent option for food applications. By converting banana peels into a versatile ingredient, we aim to create a biodegradable tart shell that not only minimizes food waste but also delivers a unique texture and flavor. This strategy fosters sustainability in the food industry, decreases dependence on conventional tart crusts, and offers an environmentally friendly alternative. Our research underscores the potential of banana peel-based tart shells as an innovative product that meets the growing demand for eco-conscious solutions.
