Improper disposal of used cooking oil can cause serious environmental pollution, including water contamination and harm to aquatic life. This project, Ecopure Bar, aims to recycle used cooking oil into an eco-friendly and biodegradable cleaning soap through the process of saponification. The soap was produced by reacting filtered used cooking oil with sodium hydroxide and water, followed by the addition of natural scents such as pineapple and flower extracts. Observations showed that the mixture thickened within 15–20 minutes and hardened properly after curing, producing a smooth soap bar with a mild and pleasant scent. The results indicate that used cooking oil can be effectively converted into a useful product, reducing waste and environmental pollution. This project demonstrates a practical, cost-effective, and sustainable solution that promotes environmental awareness and responsible waste management.
