Plastic food packaging is widely used for storing and transporting food, but it causes serious environmental problems because it is non-biodegradable. This study aimed to develop a biodegradable food packaging pouch using orange (Citrus sinensis) and latundan banana (Musa acuminata × M. balbisiana) peels. Materials included fruit peels, glycerin, cornstarch, vinegar, and salt, using basic equipment such as a boiling pot, blender, mixing tools, and molder. Thirty participants evaluated the pouches through durability and shelf-life tests, showing good structural stability, no mold growth, and strong damage resistance. The study concludes that this pouch is an eco-friendly alternative to plastic packaging.
