ST72: Innovation Of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training Glove

Ahmad Baihaqi Bin Mohd Amin Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah

Cardiac arrest often leads to death due to delayed or improper CPR technique, mainly caused by difficulty in applying the correct pressure and hand placement during training. To address this issue, the CPR Glove Training Kit was developed as a smart solution to guide users in performing accurate chest compressions. The main objective is to design an affordable and portable glove that measures compression pressure, detects correct hand positioning, and provides real-time feedback via a mobile application. Embedded with IoT technology, this system integrates a force sensor, a trigger sensor, and an ESP32 microcontroller, transmitting data via Wi-Fi to display instant performance feedback. Tests using various pressure levels confirmed the glove’s ability to accurately identify correct and incorrect compressions, helping users refine their CPR technique effectively. Supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), this project promotes accessible, technology-based CPR training for learners at all levels. CPR Glove Training Kit demonstrates a low-cost yet efficient tool for enhancing CPR learning outcomes. In conclusion, the developed system provides an innovative and practical training aid that can improve CPR proficiency and potentially increase survival rates in cardiac emergencies.
