This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of educational online game learning for Food and Beverage Cost Control subjects. The main objective of this study is to improve students understanding of the concept of cost control through an interactive and fun approach. The game is designed to simulate a real-world situation where students have to make critical financial decisions to control costs in a business. The methodology used in this study involves game development based on the principles of Food and Beverage Cost Control and effectiveness testing through experiments with student groups. The research population consisted of 190 students, including those who have completed the subject and those currently studying it. Based on the population size, the calculated sample size was 128 students. However, the researchers opted to select 150 students to ensure more representative sample. Data was collected through questionnaires and analysis of student performance after using the game. The results of the study show that learning through online games can significantly improve students' understanding of cost control. In addition, this game was also found to increase students’ motivation and interest in the subject of Food and Beverage Cost Control. In conclusion learning online games is an effective tool to teach the concept of cost control. It not only improves student understanding but also makes the learning process more interesting and interactive. This study suggests the use of educational online games as part of the Food and Beverage Cost Control curriculum to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
