Our innovation project aims to develop a Net Zero Dustbin system, equipped with advanced technology capable of identifying wet and dry rubbish. This smart dustbin is connected to a server, which will trigger the municipal council for pick up once it reaches full capacity or starts releasing a certain amount of unwanted gas. The server setup ensures that only houses with filled, or potentially harmful dustbins are included in the pick-up list, significantly reducing the effort and cost associated with rubbish collection. Additionally, the system encourages waste segregation by automatically directing the identified rubbish to the appropriate bins, promoting recycling and composting practices. The implementation of this Net Zero Dustbin system will streamline waste management processes, allowing municipal councils to allocate their resources efficiently, reduce carbon emissions, and save both time and cost. By minimizing unnecessary visits to homes and improving waste segregation, we aim to create a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to rubbish disposal. The goal of this project is to develop and implement a Net Zero Dustbin system that revolutionizes waste management practices, optimizing collection processes, reducing costs, and minimizing the environmental impact of rubbish disposal. By leveraging advanced technology and promoting waste segregation, we aim to create a more efficient and sustainable approach to waste management, benefiting both municipal councils and the environment.
